The Division of Air Quality oversees regulations and permits governing the control of air pollution, from all sources in the state, to ensure that Delaware’s air meets State and Federal Air Quality Standards created to protect public health and the environment.

The Division works with the DNREC Small Business Ombudsman to provide guidance and technical assistance to regulated businesses and facilities. That guidance includes workshops and other training opportunities.

As future training opportunities are scheduled, they will be listed here and on the DNREC calendar of events.

Air Quality Permitting Workshop

The Division of Air Quality held a half-day virtual training workshop on Sept. 20, 2022 about the permit application process and facility/site inspections.

Attendees learned the Air Quality permitting process from pre-application meetings to permit issuance. And they learned about the various types of facility/site inspections and how to prepare for them.

Previous Training Opportunities

In January, 2021, DNREC and industry partners offered a series of three virtual air permitting training sessions.

The sessions focused on the role of the division, air permitting basics, and regulations for specific industries.

Each of the sessions was recorded and are provided here as videos via the DNREC YouTube channel.

These videos are for informational purposes only. They are not intended for making regulatory determinations. Please contact the Division of Air Quality at (302) 739-9402 with questions.
