The 2024 Delaware Wetlands Conference was a great success. The next event will take place in 2026. The conference planning committee is excited to integrate feedback and share new features for the upcoming conference.

In previous years, this conference has brought together over 425 attendees, 75 different presentations and poster displays, and 40 exhibitors and sponsor tables.

The agenda usually includes subjects such as soil science, climate adaptation, and monitoring, as well as wetland restoration and creation projects.

2026 Announcements

Planning for the next event (2026) is already underway.

Conference sponsorships will open in June of 2025. It’s not too early to start thinking about the next conference.

The 2024 Conference

The 2024 Delaware Wetlands Conference was held February 6 and 7 in Wilmington.

It was the tenth Delaware Wetlands Conference and brought together more than 425 attendees for 50 different presentations, 35 poster displays and 40 exhibitor and sponsor tables.

The agenda included new subjects, such as non-tidal restoration, coastal resiliency, and nature-based solutions. Field trips were offered both days of the event. Professional credits were available for attending the conference as well.

The 2024 conference included partnerships with two regional professional organizations — the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the American Shore and Beach Preservation Association and the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Society of Wetland Scientists (MAC SWS). Each group hosted open meetings during lunch.
